Self-help for HIV-positive women - women help each other and are there for each other.
An offer to meet each other:
The self-help group (SHG) of HIV-positive women meets once a month, mostly in the rooms of the AIDS-Hilfe Potsdam e.V. This is a place to deal with the HIV infection and the associated living conditions in a protected setting. The idea of the self-help group is to create an opportunity for positive women to meet regularly in a protected setting; to exchange ideas, to inform themselves about new developments in AIDS help and research, or simply to have a good time together. From here, joint undertakings and projects can also be planned. In addition, women with a still young infection should have the opportunity to ask the more experienced group members questions and benefit from their experiences.
Every person with an HIV infection from the age of 18 can take part. The group is anonymous, voluntary and confidential. That means: Participation is non-binding. All personal matters remain within the group. Only first names will be used to address the group.
The women's group meets regularly on every 3rd Tuesday of the month.
