Chlamydia and Gonococcus laboratory test
Chlamydia and gonococcus (gonorrhea) are bacteria that are transmitted during sex and can cause infections. They are among the most common sexually transmitted infections. Both infections are treated with antibiotics. Discharge or itching in the anal and genital area, as well as burning when peeing, can be symptoms of an infection. Frequently, there are also infections without symptoms, which are not noticed at all. Nevertheless, the bacteria are transmitted during sex. We therefore recommend that people with frequently changing sex partners get tested for Chlamydia and Gonococcus once a year.
